I grew up in Edwardsville, Illinois and left to attend the USC School of Cinema.  For over 12 years I wrote and performed at The Groundlings, LA’s premier improv troupe.  I have made dozens of appearances on television, in films and on stage.  I recently got killed on “Criminal Minds” and I play Pee-wee’s neighbor Mr. Mergatroyd in “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday.”

I co-wrote four episodes of “Pee-wee’s Playhouse,” two of which received Emmy Award nominations.  I’ve also written film scripts, television specials and comedy material for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. “Shrink Rap,” a feature film I wrote, co-produced and directed, played in several film festivals and was released on DVD.  Lately, I’ve been telling true stories of my crazy adventures at The Last Book Store, the Groundlings, Taboo Tales, and other venues.  When I’m not acting, I enjoy bike riding and photography.
